National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA), 2010

The Policy aims to address the climate change adaptation needs of the country. It identifies of thematic areas such as forest and biodiversity for immediate adaptation actions. In addition, the NAPA also identifies the importance of forest ecosystems in reducing the impacts of climate-induced hazards. Furthermore, recognising the need of community-based climate change adaptation activities, it facilitates the implementation of Ecosystem-based Adaptation projects.
