Stability Analysis OAL Austria

The "F_vs_PGA_different_z.jpg" file includes the stability analysis results for the Open Air Laboratory (OAL) Austria. It has been performed employing a numerical model that adopts a 2-D mathematical elaboration of the conventional Limit Equilibrium approach, developed by the Tsunami Research Team of Bologna University. The safety factor F is plotted against the Peak Ground Acceleration (percentage of the gravity acceleration) that can be expected in this area. Results are shown for the actual and 2 m - shifted groundwater level. The parameters used and retrieved through a sensitivity analysis by the Austrian Academy of Science are cohesion= 34.7 kN/m^2; friction angle=30.2°; density=25 kN/m^3. The "pga_vs_f_z_curr.txt" and "pga_vs_f_z_var.txt" files contain rough data shown in "F_vs_PGA_different_z.jpg". The "pga_austria.png" includes the location and the reference peak ground acceleration of the OAL Austria, as can be downloaded from https://www.dlubal.com/loadzones/austria-earthquake.html#center=47.71324565635052,13.345762499999996&zoom=7&marker=48.2081743,16.37381890000006.
